“One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple.” – Jack Kerouac
So yesterday after proclaiming that I would write a new post everyday, I stumbled across an online course that is offered by the Blogging University on WordPress called Finding Everyday Inspiration. It looked pretty interesting so I thought that I would try it out!
The prompt for day one is: I write because…
I write because I want to express myself. I write because I want to be able to convey how I’m feeling to others, and I want them to understand what I’m saying. They say that in order to be a better writer you need to: 1) read a lot, and 2) write a lot. I also write because I am a university student and I have just realized that my writing skills are kind of lacking, and I really would like to improve (as in my GPA could be better).
I love reading these deep and profound quotes but the other day I realized something: that I would never be able to say/write anything as deep and profound. I guess that’s another reason for why I write.
I don’t know how long my posts are supposed to be in response to these prompts, but I can’t really think of anything else to say so I’ll just stop there. To those of you reading this, thank you so much for putting up with my ramblings and I hope you see an improvement over time.
